While the fees and taxes charged by government agencies administering the free market system are low, nonetheless they are required:

At the retail "free markets"

At the wholesale markets
  1. All vendors pay a Participation Fee.
  2. Resellers also pay a Turnover Tax.
  3. Some cities now charge farmers a nominal Turnover Tax.
  1. Wholesalers pay a combined Market Fee and Turnover Tax based on type of produce and tonnage brought to market.
  2. Resellers pay a nominal exit fee as they leave the wholesale market.
